National Park Permit

Meeting Time &amp; Place: 7:00 AM at Gravity Haus Revelstoke. Guests are responsible for arranging their own transportation to Revelstoke. The closest airport is Kelowna International Airport (YLW), with shuttle services available directly to town. We recommend arriving at least one day early to settle in and enjoy Revelstoke before the trip begins. On Day 1, we’ll review the trip plan, objectives, and current snowpack conditions before heading to Rogers Pass for avalanche training and a full-day ski tour. After the tour, we’ll return to Revelstoke for après and dinner.

Day 1

Spend the day exploring the legendary terrain of Rogers Pass. Each day, your guide will select the best objective based on current mountain conditions, weather, avalanche hazard, and the ability of the group, ensuring the best possible skiing experience. After a big day in the mountains, return to Revelstoke for a well-earned après and a great dinner. Potential objectives may include classics such as Rogers Run, Perley Rock, Avalanche NW Couloir, Herdman Couloir, the Little Sifton Traverse, Youngs Traverse, Lily Dome Traverse, and countless other options throughout the pass. With such a vast range of terrain available, no two days are ever the same.

Day 2 - 5

There are times when access to Rogers Pass is temporarily affected by highway closures due to avalanche control or intense snowfall events. When this happens, our guides have a range of alternative touring zones ready to go, ensuring the skiing never stops. Depending on conditions, this could mean accessing the backcountry from Revelstoke Mountain Resort or exploring nearby touring areas directly from town. Flexibility is part of the experience, and your guides are always adapting to find the best possible terrain, snow, and overall day in the mountains.

About the Guides

The terrain at Rogers Pass spans from ancient old-growth forest to dramatic glaciated alpine within Glacier National Park. Sheltered glades provide refuge on storm days, while vast open glaciers and high ridgelines reward bluebird conditions. With a deep network of terrain options spread across the Selkirks, guides move fluidly with the snowpack each day, maximizing access to fresh snow and keeping the group in the best conditions available.

The Terrain

Rogers Pass is at its best from December through April, when deep, consistent snowfall and longer spring days open up bigger alpine objectives. This is when the Selkirks are at their most spectacular, delivering the reliable conditions the zone is known for.

Meeting Time &amp; Place: 8:00 AM at the Blackcomb Gondola. Most guests are already settled into Whistler before the trip begins, making for an easy start to the day. On Day 1, we’ll meet to review the trip plan, objectives, current conditions, and avalanche safety before heading out for a full day of backcountry skiing in the lift accessible Whistler backcountry. After the tour, we’ll wrap up with some well-earned après.

Whistler Backcountry

Most people drive straight through Squamish without realizing how much incredible skiing exists here. Once they reach Whistler, they often end up caught in the crowds, lift lines, and busy village atmosphere. When conditions line up, we head south to explore some of the Coast Range’s true classics. Using the Sea to Sky Gondola to quickly access the alpine, we can spend the day skiing world-class tree runs, aesthetic couloirs, and impressive coastal terrain far from the resort chaos.

Sea to Sky Gondola

When temperatures rise or the clouds settle into the Coast Mountains, we often head north toward Duffey Lake. Sitting further inland, this region has a drier, more continental snowpack and often sees better weather and snow quality than the coast. Massive peaks, glaciated terrain, and iconic zones around the Joffre Group make the Duffey a completely different experience from Whistler, and one of the true gems of British Columbia backcountry skiing.

Whistler's coastal snowpack builds steadily from December through April, with the deepest and most consistent conditions typically arriving mid-season. Clear weather opens alpine objectives and glacier terrain, while storm cycles deliver the deep coastal snow Whistler is famous for.

Whistler Backcountry. 

Big mountain lines and deep powder in Japan’s ski&nbsp;and snowboard Mecca, the Northern Japanese Alps. Hakuba definitely&nbsp;lives up to the hype as the biggest steepest mountains in Japan.Hakuba conditions are historically&nbsp;best in January when the temperature is cold&nbsp;and the snow falls more&nbsp;consistently.&nbsp;Later in the year there is a greater risk of possible rain which&nbsp;can add a weak&nbsp;layer in the snowpack and increase the avalanche hazard.

We recommend&nbsp;landing in Tokyo (either Narita or Haneda Airport) one day early, as most flights arrive in the late afternoon or evening. This gives you time to rest, recover from jet lag, and ensure you’re ready to travel the next day.
